There are thousands upon thousands of people living within small sections of the capital in the different barrios stacked on top of each other.  The above pictures show the living conditions and close proximity to each other.  We are so blessed to have friends residing in these areas because without their connection we would not have the opportunity to enter into these neighborhoods to minister to the needs of the children.  These communities are closed to outsiders and are ruled by bands or bandits.

In July we began ministering in the "red light" district of one particular barrio.  Services are held 3 times weekly, with specific ministry going out to the drug addicts, prostitutes, homeless, and street children.  

It is one of these such areas that we are going to evangelize with a street crusade on December 1st until December 3rd.  We are experiencing spiritual warfare even now with the upcoming planning of this event!!!  We are not discouraged though because we know that we can do all things through Christ and we are going with a God given directive to bring the love of Christ to this community!!
